Microblading is somewhat a new form of Semi-Permanent Makeup (SPMU) that has only started to take off in the last 3-4 years. Even though Microblading and Semi-Permanent Makeup are used interchangeably, they are pretty much different from one another.
Semi-Permanent makeup, is also known as micro-pigmentation, derma-pigmentation, and permanent cosmetics. SPMU specialists use techniques to mimic the effect of makeup application. The results on the face generally look like enhanced features that would typically be done with our daily makeup.

A SMPU expert like Alina Focsan uses a machine specifically for Semi-Permanent Makeup treatment which uses UK-certified organic pigments that are used for cosmetic purposes only. Contrary to popular belief, SPMU and Cosmetic Tattoo are different from one another. Cosmetic Tattoo is how deep into the skin
the procedure is being done. While Permanent Makeup uses pigments, tattoo uses inks.
With SPMU involving the brows, usually a powder fill-like technique is used to make the brows look fuller, helping the entire face be framed properly with well-defined brows.
Some clients will go to a traditional
tattoo artist, hoping to get the brows outlined and filled but the tattoo technique is less than the natural look, leaving your original eyebrows look solid and unnatural that will last far more than SPMU results.
While Microblading is oftentimes mistaken as a part of the SPMU treatment services, it’s entirely different even though it’s frequently integrated as a form of SPMU. While Semi-Permanent Makeup uses the machine while Microblading is done manually with a blade. These two are sensitive that if done
differently and not exclusively to each of their purpose, it will yield a tattoo effect.
A technique is used for implanting hair-like pigments in the epidermis during Microblading to produce a more complete manual brows appearance.  The handheld blade manual method enables the treatment to produce a
natural look. Instead of outlining and completing your brows with a color similar to when makeups are applied, Microblading treatments allow you to place hair as strokes into the skin. Traditional tattoos on a rotary or coiling device use needles to penetrate the skin deeply with 7 layers of ink with the use
of manual handheld blades and target only 3 skin layers. Based on the superficial skin layer where the pigment is placed, the strokes are sharp, crisp and mimic authentic hair.  The manual handheld blade technique allows a natural look of the treatment. The micro-blading system allows you to place hair
in the skin as a hint rather than drawing and finishing your brows with similar colors.
Although brows that were treated with Microblading do not require daily maintenance because their results are semi-permanent which normally last from 1-3 years, depending on skin lifestyles, sun exposure, skin cell
regeneration, pigment absorption speed, color choice, to name a few, we recommend a retouch session between 12–18 months after here at the Alina Focsan clinic to ensure the color sharp and the strokes look crisp.
Microblading can be useful to individuals, paricularly for people suffering from
alopecia, cancer (chemotherapy), vitiligo and scars. It is ideal for anyone who can not grow as much needed hair in the eyebrow. When you're searching for something that gives you an authentic brow look, Microblading is definitely the solution.
